Realizing the urgent need to revamp the rural agricultural scenario to turn the farming into a productive activity, RICAREA have organized a two days’ National Seminar on Integrated Farming Systems for Sustainable Agriculture and Enhancement of Rural Livelihoods on the 13th and 14th December 2015 in collaboration with the ICAR and National Academy for Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) at Rajendranagar in Hyderabad. The Proceedings of the National seminar was published under the title “Integrated Farming Systems for Sustainable Agriculture and Enhancement of Rural Livelihoods” and dedicated to the memory of Late Dr. M.V.S. Sastry who was the founder Member, the first General-Secretary, President and Honorary President of RICAREA.

•  Serve as a pool of resource persons for scientific and extension bodies
•  Bring about awareness of developments in science and technology among the farming community and general public
•  Recognise and felicitate outstanding scientists for their lifetime achievements
•  Protect the general welfare and to provide a forum for sustaining professional interest of the members.


ACTIVITIES

•  Publication of Newsletter covering topics of Scientific, administrative and health interests.
•  Organizing special seminars of topical interest.
•  Rendering voluntary advice to the farming community, various input agencies and public / private sector organizations relating to    agriculture.
•  Work for welfare of the Members
•  Honouring senior Members on the Annual Day of the Association
